Brett joined Smythe Insolvency in September 2024, bringing a strong commitment to deepening his expertise in the insolvency industry and building a long-term career focused on improving the experience of individuals navigating the bankruptcy and consumer proposal process.

In his role, Brett plays a key part in supporting Licensed Insolvency Trustees by managing various stages of an individual’s journey toward financial rehabilitation. His contributions are essential in helping clients achieve a fresh financial start through Smythe’s insolvency services.

Growing up on the North Shore, Brett spent much of his time enjoying the region’s renowned outdoor activities before relocating to the Okanagan, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. His professional background spans entrepreneurship, derivatives trading, project management, and private lending administration within a legal environment. This diverse experience equips Brett with a unique skill set that enhances his work at Smythe Insolvency.
